LIGHTING & VISUAL DESIGN

In a world that seems so emotionally disconnected and cold at times, my goal as a designer and an artist is to evoke emotional responses within the viewers. Whether it be reminiscing on good times from our childhood and the kindness of humanity, or empathy and grief for the state of the characters and how it relates to society and people. During my collaborative journey, I love to dig into the questions: "Why this? Why now?” and have a true understanding of the experience from an audience's perspective. Lighting and art are not about the content itself; they are about using those tools and my knowledge to convey the message through a collaborative process.

I am currently a working professional within the entertainment industry. I earned my M.F.A. in Lighting Design and M.S. in Arts Technology from Illinois State University in Normal, IL, in 2020. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science from Michigan Technological University in 2017, majoring in Theatre and Entertainment Technology with a minor in Art
